Linda Ly& Mesly G; OCC Student Cafeteria





The OCC Cafeteria is incorporated as a part of the Student Center, located directly across from the Watson Hall building.






Mission: "The mission of Orange Coast College Cafeteria is to provide a laboratory and practical experience to enrich the Hospitality programs such as Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, and Food Service Management."






Paints were selected by Workplace Resources and they used their own paint contractors. The colors they picked were:









Primary Paint- DEW 327 LILY









Accent Paint- Yellow DE5317 Precious Nectar









Accent Paint- Blue DE5864 Cornflower









Accent Paint- Green DE5520 Crocidile Tears









Accent Paint- Light Blue DE5144- Seaport

These chairs are from a company called Fixtures and they were chosen after testing 10 different chairs to see which ones were more durable and easiest to clean. They also purchased the smile stool, which is a stool version of this chair.

Bathroom Tile : This is the original tile, I could not find specs on this because it is so old, however its great that they ore-used the material instead of installing in new flooring in the areas that were not in desperate need.

For the tables in the eating area they customized them by using a system that

Fixtures has called, Pick-a-Top, Pick-a-Base. They allow you to Individualize your own


table by picking a table top and a base. These are individual table tops with multiple edge


profiles; multi-purpose table bases.


Top Finish: Square, Metal


Top Color: Bright Chrome Bright Chrome


Base Finish: Metal/ Reveal


Base Color: Warm Grey Warm Gray









Vinyl Composition Flooring

VCT was used in some areas of the cafeteria, however it was very small amounts therefor they kept no specs for them. Here is a picture of one of the VCT that was used.

I like how the designers chose to use tables that can be customized. I love all the brightly covered chairs and contrasting floors

Wow. That's great. My computer seemed to have trouble loading some stuff but the rest looks great. It's nice to learn about something that I can go visit and see for myself. I like the Bentley Price Street carpeting. It's fun and probably hides dirt pretty easy. Thank you for the info on this.
